#Obamanomics: No We Can’t

According to recently released federal labor statistics, the proportion of Americans between the ages of 25 and 54 with a job is the lowest that it has been in 23 years. Coupled with the alarming fact that 12.1% of young people were unsuccessful in finding work last month, now is a very uninviting time for recent college graduates to enter the Obama Economy.

The stark truth of the matter is that we continue to see our young people carry a disproportional weight of the burden of Obamanomics upon their backs. In fact, a staggering 53% of young adults are either currently living with their parents or have moved back home for an extended period in recent years.

Quite simply, America’s youth are facing both increased obligations and decreased opportunities. The average college graduate steps into the job market saddled with over $20,000 in student loan debt, and 50% of recent college graduates under the age of 25 are either unemployed or underemployed. And did I mention that each and every U.S. citizen has an additional $50,000 in their share of our ballooning national debt?

President Obama, with his litany of broken promises, has fundamentally failed to deliver for America’s youth, college students and recent graduates.

Our young people are facing an especially bleak future if we are forced to endure another four years of President Obama’s job-killing policies. If America’s youth and college students hope to prosper in the ‘real world’ in the way that so many before them have had the opportunity to do, we simply must elect a Republican president in November.

In these tough economic times, America desperately needs a president who supports free enterprise and job creation, not red tape and burdensome over-regulation; a president who believes in the open market and will allow businesses to thrive, grow and hire; and most importantly, a president who believes in lending a hand up, not a handout.

This year, we must work together to support true change in Washington that will not leave our future generations jobless and grappling with insurmountable debt. It is time to rally together to elect our Republican presidential nominee and fearless patriot, Mitt Romney, to the White House and return our country to greatness.
