Dear Friends,

Like many of you, I tuned into the Democratic National Convention and watched the parliamentary activities following the outrage once the American public discovered the removal of God from the Democratic Platform. I know I shouldn’t be shocked as secular radicals have been working diligently for decades to remove God from our public schools, government and government buildings.  As the party bosses revised the language of their platform to protect their political futures, over the clear majority of the voices representing their party that day, it served as a solemn reminder that our country currently faces a real battle in 2012.

In fact, one of our own members of Congress from Georgia has been a consistent offender in the attempt to disrupt the very fabric of our history as a nation. He was only one of nine congressmen to vote against “In God We Trust” as our National motto. Yes, that congressman is my opponent from Georgia’s Fourth District, Hank Johnson.

I know you will agree that we are at a critical time in America, and many believe, as I do, that the very soul of this great nation is at stake. Our country is under attack from secular radicals and activist judges, and no President in our history has been more willing to destroy the Constitution as President Obama has continually done.

I am a conservative running for Congress in the 4^th Congressional District. I believe in the preservation of life, marriage between a man and a woman and the protection of our religious freedoms. I believe in The Declaration of Independence and that our fundamental rights are “God given”, including our religious freedom, and they cannot be given or taken away by our government.

I am running for Congress because I believe we as a people should leave a better America for our children and grandchildren and the only way to make that happen is to return to a strong economy.  I will work tirelessly to restore jobs, recapture public trust and integrity and reduce the tax burdens and protect hard working families.

Only days ago, it was revealed that Georgia Republicans currently hold a 7-1 fundraising majority over Democrats in Georgia. The vast majority of that money, however, is spent in areas and districts with Republican incumbents and Republican-leaning areas. Typically, Democratic Congressmen, like Hank Johnson, have insurmountable fundraising leads that are improbable to overcome. This year, however, that fundraising edge is simply not evident and there is a real opportunity to defeat politicians that were undefeatable in past election cycles.

I know that the Fourth District is a tough battle but I believe we can beat Hank Johnson. However, I need your help and can’t do this without you. We need your help by talking to your friends in this congressional district to help us fight for the 4^th District! We need your contributions, help with phone banks, canvassing, door-to-door, postcards, and putting “boots on the ground” that only you can provide.
