Georgia Republican Party to Host 2012 Republican Candidate Qualifying

ATLANTA – The Georgia Republican Party will host Republican Candidate Qualifying for the 2012 Election Cycle from May 23^rd – 25^th. Taking place from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23^rd, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 24^th and 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, May 25^th, Republican Candidate Qualifying will be held in the House Chamber of the Georgia State Capitol.

All statewide, state legislative, district attorney and federal candidates will Qualify with the Georgia Republican Party during that time. All other Republican candidates for local (county or municipal) partisan offices will Qualify in their respective counties, either with the County Republican Party or directly with the County Elections Superintendent.

“I am looking forward to the opportunity to Qualify so many strong Republican candidates for this year’s important election cycle,” remarked Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue P. Everhart. “After our historic victories in 2010, our Party will field candidates from the top of the ticket to the bottom in order to build upon and grow a lasting Republican majority across the State of Georgia.”
