Georgia Republican Foundation Hosts Breakfast with Governor Nathan Deal

ATLANTA – The Georgia Republican Foundation, Chairman Sue P. Everhart and Foundation Chairman Chip Pearson hosted a Breakfast on Wednesday, January 25th, with Special Guest Governor Nathan Deal. Taking place at the Commerce Club in Atlanta, Georgia, the Breakfast offered an opportunity for the Governor to provide an update to Georgia’s Republican supporters as he enters his second year at the helm of our state.

“I was thrilled to have the remarkable opportunity to host our Governor, Nathan Deal, at Wednesday morning’s Georgia Republican Foundation Breakfast,” remarked Georgia Republican Party Chairman Sue Everhart. “Under Governor Deal’s leadership, our state is poised to continue its role as a regional and national economic engine. As Georgians, we are extremely fortunate to have Nathan Deal fighting for us each and every day.”

During the event, the Governor covered and discussed a wide variety of topics and issues, including the Governor’s Competitiveness Initiative, his efforts to modernize and increase efficiency across Georgia’s governmental agencies, the future of education in our state and his latest initiative to promote Georgia’s workforce – Go Build Georgia. Following the discussion, Governor Deal also fielded questions from the audience.

“One of the main goals of my Administration is to serve as a reliable steward of Georgia’s taxpayer dollars,” stated Governor Nathan Deal. “To that end, I have begun to explore opportunities to increase the efficiency of our state’s government through both the modernization and consolidation of many of our state agencies. In addition, we have spearheaded programs such as Go Build Georgia and the Georgia Competitiveness Initiative in order to ensure that Georgia’s workforce is equipped to compete on a national level for years to come.”

Chip Pearson, Chairman of the Georgia Republican Foundation, concluded: “The Election of 2012 will be the most important in a generation. Therefore, it is critical that the Georgia Republican Foundation and our 2012 Victory efforts raise the funds necessary to not only support our legislative races here in Georgia, take back the U.S. Senate and add to our majority in the U.S. House, but also to spearhead the most important mission: returning a Republican to the White House. We appreciate Governor Deal kicking off our 2012 Foundation schedule, and look forward to working with him and the rest of our team as we march to victory in November!”

The Georgia Republican Foundation consists of major donors to the Party. State Party Chairman Sue P. Everhart and Foundation Chairman Chip Pearson are continuing the growth of the Foundation by hosting industry specific breakfasts as well as exclusive events throughout the state.
