Letter from 12th District GOP Chairman Lawton Sack

Lawton Sack

Fellow Republicans,

Republicans in Georgia’s 12th District are excited at the opportunity to finally remove Congressman John Barrow from the office he has held since January of 2005. The GA-12 Republican Party has fully committed to working hard to campaign for and elect a Republican member of Congress that will actually take our conservative values and principles found throughout our District to Washington, D.C.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has taken notice of the race in our District and have designated GA-12 as one of the top five races in the Nation. They have fully committed themselves to standing along aside us to help provide the necessary resources to defeat John Barrow. The NRCC has placed Adam Kincaid as the political point person for GA-12 and Andrea Bozeck as the Press Secretary for our area.

It will take a strong candidate to defeat Barrow. We strongly believe that we have four excellent candidates to choose from during the July Primary. All four of our candidates have been elevated to “On the Radar Status” as part of the NRCC’s Young Guns program. This means that all of our candidates are meeting the financial and campaign benchmarks set out by the NRCC. This trully reflects the healthy and strong campaigns in GA-12.

Letter from GAGOP Veterans Outreach Chairman COL Larry Mrozinski

Veteran’s Fight Through the Fog of War and Find the Truth

The Republican Party has a proud tradition of support for our nation’s veterans and the sacrifices shouldered when called to duty. All one has to do to find this embedded devotion is read the 2008 Republican Party Platform to acquire a sense of the magnitude of pride and esteem held for our nation’s service members and veterans. The truth is our veterans hear the rhetoric from this Administration and see something totally different when the promises are called due. You see, our veterans do not need teleprompters or talking points to describe what they sacrificed or their limitations borne by service….they’re part of less then 1% of our nations population and this Administration still cannot get to the work at hand because few ever walked the same walk.

One stark case in point that best describes this administration lack of leadership and concern it has for veterans in found in their ambivalence in handling health issues. The Department of Veteran’s Affairs faces an overwhelming backlog of a current 897,566 disability claims with more than 65 percent pending for more than 125 days, as the House Veterans Affairs Committee heard in open hearing on, April 18. This is where the Administrations rhetoric and disingenuousness come into focus.

Has your local, county or district GOP organization hosted or participated in any events recently? If so, we would love to hear about the details and share them with Republicans all across Georgia!

Send your events and photos to Chris Kelleher at Chris@gagop.org, and keep an eye out for your organization to be featured in a future GAGOP Newsletter!

Help Lead the Charge Today!

The Georgia Republican Party is fully committed to electing a Republican President in 2012. However, Victory won’t be achieved simply because we won the last elections. Victory can only be achieved by working hard each and every day to win the next elections. President Obama and the Democrats are targeting Georgia and could spend as much as $30 million to win our state. There’s too much at stake to leave this election to chance. Please consider contributing $15, $25, $50 or any amount to help Georgia do its part to send Barack Obama back to Chicago!
