Free Fallin’: Obama’s Poll Numbers Take a Dive
Posted by chris on Mar 14, 2012As gas prices continue to soar, our government continues to set record deficits and Americans are quickly losing faith in President Obama. A look at this week’s recent public opinion polls paints a bleak picture for the Campaigner-in-Chief heading into November…
- According to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, a majority of Americans now disapprove of President Obama’s overall job performance, and a overwhelming 65% disapprove of the way that Barack Obama is handling gas prices in America. In addition, 59% of Americans give the President an overall negative rating on the economy.
- In the latest CBS News poll, President Obama’s approval rating has hit the lowest level ever – an uninspiring 41%. This is down from 50% just last month, and shows Americans quickly losing faith in Barack Obama. In fact, as gas prices have jumped 12 cents over the past two weeks, an additional 56% of Americans responded that “gas prices are something that the president can do a lot about,” thus quelling the President’s attempts to skirt responsibility on the issue.
- GALLUP released their latest poll results on Monday, showing that for the entire month of February, President Obama averaged an approval rating of just 45%. This is especially notable, says GALLUP, since “All incumbents who have been elected to a second term had a 50% or higher average approval rating by February of that year, and in the case of all but George W. Bush, they maintained that through Election Day.” The poll also shows that a majority of Americans – and 53% of Independents – now call Barack Obama’s presidency a failure.
What these polls truly tell us, however, is that the American people are not satisfied with the Barack Obama Presidency. In fact, the CBS News poll also included one very telling statistic: 80% of Americans say that they are not better off than they were four years ago!
Barack Obama will not have a record to run on this time around, and has already resorted to fear mongering and negativity to drive his campaign; as such, the Democrats have attempted to frame this year’s election as a Republican war: a war on women, a war on minorities, a war on students, a war on the middle class, a war on seniors… I could continue this list for days, but I think you understand.
Without a platform, record or any conceivable accomplishments to run on, the Obama Administration continues their thinly-veiled attempts conjure up fear among virtually every American demographic and voting block.
Fortunately for the American people, Mr. Obama’s tactics are not working. In fact, they are backfiring. As the above polls show, our country’s principled, intelligent voters are focused solely upon the major issues facing the United States of America, not the latest Democratic attempts to divide Americans along socioeconomic and demographic lines.
Barack Obama will be defeated in November; not because of his ability to divide, but rather because of his inability to govern. Simply put, Barack Obama’s presidency has been an abject and unquestionable failure of which the American people are well aware.
