Forsyth Republican Party to Conduct Straw Poll During National BBQ Cup Event
Posted by chris on Nov 16, 2011Who will be our great nation’s next President? With less than 365 days till the next general election and just over 115 days until the Georgia primary of March 6, 2012 we all want to know. Furthermore within the Republican Party, 10 candidates have come forward to be weighed and measured by the American public. Thus the key question on everyone’s minds is ‘are they fit to carry out this most ultimate duty to country?’
To help gauge local thoughts to this all-important question, the Forsyth County Republican Party (FCRP) will be conducting an informal straw poll at the 2011 National BBQ Cup competition in Cumming, Georgia November 18 & 19, 2011. We know this will be an exciting second opportunity to measure the public’s thoughts on the field of Republican candidates.
This time the field of candidates on the Straw Poll ballot will be lowered to only 8 of the 10 candidates, this is due in part to the fact that two (2) of the pervious candidates received no votes and thus the FCRP felt it would not include these individuals, but allow for write-in vote, if so desired. As always the FCRP will remind all individual’s participating that the only individual’s that will count in the poll are those candidates that have filed with the FEC to raise or expend funds in order to campaign for the Republican nomination for President.
Individual’s voting and participating in the straw poll are asked to make a one dollar contribution. The results of this straw poll will be published by the FCRP within 3 days of the event on their web site – http://www.forsythgop.org and in press release to all the major media in the Greater Atlanta Area.We look forward to everyone stopping by, talking with the members of the FCRP and casting a ballot in this straw poll.
