Chairman’s Welcome: February 8, 2012

Dear Friends,

As it stands today, we are less than nine months away from the most important election in many of our lifetimes. On November 6th, citizens across our country will take to the polls in record numbers to voice their opinions on the very future of our great nation. And while Election Day will be the culmination of our efforts, the ultimate outcome could very well be decided by what happens between now and then.

In just 27 days, Georgians will cast their first vote for the next Republican President of the United States of America. As the largest delegation on Super Tuesday (and 4th largest in the nation!), Georgia is uniquely positioned to play a central role in the selection of our Party’s nominee like never before. Not to be overlooked, we will also be hosting the 2012 Super Tuesday Republican Presidential Debate on March 1st, an endeavor in which we are partnering with CNN.

In addition to the national spotlight shining on Georgia’s Republican Primary, we are also thrilled that our GAGOP Convention Cycle will begin in just over a week. Mass Precinct Meetings will be held on Saturday, February 18th, and Delegates and Alternates to the upcoming March 10th County Conventions will be elected at this time. For more information on your county’s Mass Precinct Meeting and County Convention, contact your GAGOP County Chairman by visiting: http://www.gagop.org/local/county/.

This year’s Convention Cycle promises to bring an unparalleled level of excitement to our Party. In addition to the organization and mobilization of our grassroots team, we will also be electing Delegates and Alternates to the Republican National Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida, as well as a National Committeeman and a National Committeewoman to represent our Party at the highest level. This will be an extremely busy cycle for our Party and our team, and the opportunities to get involved have never been more abundant.

We will also be hosting events throughout the next nine months that will provide unique networking, fellowship and support with fellow Republican elected officials, candidates and leaders. The Georgia Republican Foundation, our premier donor organization, hosts industry-specific breakfasts and panel discussions, as well as exclusive events and our annual golf tournament. For more information about becoming a member of the Georgia Republican Foundation, please contact the Finance Department at (404) 257-5559.

Why put off until tomorrow what you could do today? Join the Georgia Republican Party, attend an organizational meeting and help us prepare for victory in November. In order to be successful, we need you on our team!

Together for Victory,

Sue
