Chairman’s Welcome: December 5, 2012

Dear Friends,

I would like to begin by congratulating Republican State Senate candidate Mike Dugan on his resounding victory in Tuesday’s District 30 Republican Primary Runoff Election! All of our Party’s candidates ran great races, and I am proud of the efforts of each of them. After the January 8th General Election, I have no doubt that Mike will be a tremendous asset to our Party and to the great State of Georgia!

Over the remainder of this week, we will also recognize two very important moments for our nation, as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is Friday, December 7th, and the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah begins at sunset on Saturday, December 8th.

On Friday, American flags all across our great nation will fly at half-mast as we remember the attacks at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 – a date which will forever live in infamy. A solemn reminder of the lives lost and sacrifices made by so many brave Americans, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is also an opportunity to salute the survivors of that day and pay humble tribute to America’s greatest generation.

I would like to offer a sincere “Thank You” to all American service members, both past and present, who have fought to protect and uphold the very freedoms of which we far too often take for granted. You are our true American heroes.

To our Jewish friends who will begin the celebration of Hanukkah on Saturday evening, may your holiday be filled with celebration, remembrance and love. Throughout this joyous Festival of Lights, I wish each of you all the joy and happiness, from our family to yours.

Post-election excitement here at the Georgia Republican Party continues to build as we prepare for the 2013 GAGOP Convention Cycle. If you have not already, please reach out to your respective County GOP Chairman to find out how you can get involved as we move into 2013 and beyond! To get started, simply visit: http://www.gagop.org/local/county/.

Finally, I would like to formally announce that Chris Kelleher, the Georgia Republican Party’s Communications Director, will be leaving us on Friday. Chris has accepted the role of Communications Director with the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. We all wish him the best of luck in his new venture, and he will be greatly missed!

Wishing you and yours all of our best wishes this holiday season,

Sue
