Chairman’s Welcome: August 22, 2012
Posted by chris on Aug 22, 2012Dear Friends,
Greetings from Tampa Bay! Since Monday, I have been working tirelessly with fellow Republicans, including our very own Attorney General Sam Olens, on the Republican National Convention Platform Committee. Over the course of the past two days, we drafted, debated, amended and ultimately voted on a Platform to guide our Party over the next four years.
Focusing on a wide variety of pillars upon the foundations of which our Party stands, the Platform will set a course for the Republican Party leaders and voters, alike, to direct our country towards prosperity once again. The Platform will be voted upon by the full Republican National Convention next week, and I look forward to sharing it with each of you in the very near future!
If you would like to watch the Platform Committee in action, C-SPAN has full coverage online, which can be found at: http://www.c-span.org/Events/RNC39s-Platform-Cmte-Preps-for-Upcoming-Convention/10737433193/.
Georgia’s Convention Delegation will be joining me here in Tampa Bay in just a few short days, and I am excited for all that lies ahead. As one of the five largest Delegations in the nation, our state is poised to play a large role in this year’s Republican National Convention, and I am immensely proud to lead our Delegation in this vital undertaking. Our state will answer Roll Call on Monday afternoon; I encourage each of you to keep an eye out for us beginning around 3:00 PM!
As a reminder, you can catch all of the action from the 2012 Republican National Convention on C-SPAN and online at www.C-SPAN.org. The Georgia Republican Party will also be posting regular updates of the sights and sounds from our Delegation on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GAGOP and Twitter at www.twitter.com/GaRepublicans.
If you are coming down to Tampa Bay as part of the Georgia Delegation, I look forward to seeing you soon! The Georgia Republican Party is ready to nominate the next Republican President of the United States of America!
All my best,
Sue
