Chairman’s Welcome: August 1, 2012
Posted by chris on Aug 1, 2012Dear Friends,
On Tuesday, nearly one-million Republican voters from every corner of our state took to the polls to vote in Georgia’s Republican primary elections. The highly-impressive turnout across the state showed that not only are Georgia Republicans tuned in to the issues of the day, but we are fired up to keep Georgia Red and ready to take our country back!
I would like to send my most sincere gratitude to each of the Republican candidates that appeared on ballots all over Georgia on Tuesday. Your willingness to serve our Party and our great state should not go unnoticed; because of your commitment and sacrifice, our state is undoubtedly a better place. Thank you all for answering the call – I am proud to have you on our team!
I also am proud to congratulate all of the candidates who were victorious in their primary campaigns. After many long months of hard work and tireless campaigning, you not only persevered – you succeeded. As it is said, “The tougher the battle, the sweeter the victory,” and I believe that many of you would attest to that very notion today. You should all be proud of what you have accomplished!
Today is a new day. With the primary elections in our rearview mirror, our sights are now fully set on November. With the general election comes a new set of challenges, affording our Party the opportunity to protect and grow our majorities on every level of governance, while also ensuring that we are once again able to turn the White House Red.
Over the next 97 days, the Georgia Republican Party will be working around-the-clock with our candidates, leadership and grassroots in order to meet and surpass all goals that we have set over the past two years. We are entering the home stretch, so to speak, and we must not falter in our efforts in the 11th hour. Simply put, we need each of you more than ever!
Thank you all for what you have dedicated to our Party, our state and our great nation. The Georgia Republican Party will press on, refusing to be content and rather persistently striving for growth and, ultimately, victory. Let’s keep Georgia Red and take our country back!
All my best,
Sue
